Getting Involved

Alexandra Rose Day supports those charities that do not have a formal infrastructure and lots of employees. By getting involved with Alexandra Rose Day and its partner charities, you can see the difference that your time and skills can make to local organisations who use their own expertise to help people in difficult times or improve their quality of life.

Volunteering

Alexandra Rose Day and its partner charities rely on the time and skills of the many volunteers who can help us make a real difference. We currently have the following opportunities.

Corporate

Alexandra Rose Day has been a date in the London calendar for nearly 100 years. Working with Alexandra Rose Day is an ideal way for your company to show it values the contributions that small organisations can make to the well- being of a community. You can either select one of our partner charities to support or work for the benefit of the over 200 organisations that we help that do not have a national profile. If your company is looking for a new partnership with a charity which is unique is its support for small people-caring charities, why not consider one of the following:

  • Run your own Rose Day for an employee nominated charity.
  • Volunteer to support a local charity’s Rose Day by providing a team of collectors.
  • Sponsorship opportunities at ARD events which benefit from the attendance of our Royal patron,
  • Invite a corporate team to attend the Rose Ball or one of our other prestigious events.

If you would like to discuss any of these opportunities further, please telephone our main office.

Schools

Alexandra Rose Day takes place in June each year which makes it an ideal time to introduce young people to the Rose Day tradition. A Rose Day collection for a charity nominated by the pupils is an ideal team building exercise which gets all lower sixth formers involved.
